Bio

Janine Mendes-Franco is an experienced video producer with a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.

She has scripted the majority of her film and video projects, and her writing has been featured in various regional publications, including MACO Caribbean Living, Caribbean Parenting Now, The Ticket, Trinidad Weddings, Business Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean Beat.  She has contributed to the Sunday Guardian arts section and has been featured as a guest columnist in the Trinidad Express.

She has significant experience in corporate writing, producing, proofing and editing content for print, audio visual and online applications, including annual reports. Her work has been republished on various international websites, such as Public Radio International.

Janine particularly enjoys documentary filmmaking and is passionate about her region’s voice in global conversations – from parenting to politics. She is a Past President of the Association of Female Executives of Trinidad and Tobago and currently sits on the Content Development and Monitoring Committee of Film TT.
